At the first stage, we contact you, and I collect a detailed brief from you, where you talk about your request. I analyze how long this request may take, draw up a proposal, and we sign a service agreement. After which we proceed to further work. Depending on the project, briefing can take place in different forms that are convenient for you.
I don’t start designing right away: I always do research before doing so. The mandatory minimum is an analysis of the target audience and an analysis of competitors. Depending on the goals of the project, the number and composition of research may differ, but they are invariably carried out on all projects, as they allow us to dive deeper into the product, identify its problems and goals, and understand it in the best possible way.
The next step after a deep understanding of the problem is the construction of hypotheses. Typically, design hypotheses are drawn in the form of diagrams (information architecture, user flow) and wireframes (these are visually simplified layouts that allow you to quickly determine the structure and, without wasting time, sketch out several ideas for solving project problems).
At every stage, I keep constant contact with you: it is very important that we both understand that we are moving in the right direction. Once the structure is approved, you can begin to create a visual concept. I put together a moodboard based on your brief, select references and draw a visual concept using the example of several blocks or screens - how the product will look. There are always several options.
After we have decided on the concept: we have chosen colors, fonts and general style, I draw the design. If we are talking about a website, the design must be adaptive, that is, all screens are drawn in several resolutions. The number of screens depends on the specific project and can be adjusted if necessary.
Finished layouts are provided with a link to the Figma file. All layouts are brought to a strict order: the layers are in order, all screens are combined into logical chains to make them easier to navigate, all states are drawn. Such work can be safely transferred to developers. I am always in touch and ready to advise developers on layouts if there is such a need, as well as change something at the moment depending on their request.
